Have you ever wondered what it'd be like to see, or even play, on a full-sized Haxball Real Football pitch? Searching for space has never been easier, with the new and improved design granting you the capability of seeing from, virtually, one end to the other. Having been asked to keep the creator's identity a secret, I can only reveal that the rtmpf server used for 'normal' Haxball will remain the same; meaning that whenever either game is down they will both be unavailable to the public - appreciation to Basro also, who was more than happy to provide an additional hand with the recompile coding.

Whilst the general game-play will in fact remain the same, there have been slight changes created. As you'll be able to see below; all players will now have the ability to choose who they wish to see chat in a game - whether that is just the players playing, or those spectating, is entirely up to you. Frustration from being put off as a result of players chatting during a game shall be no more. Also, admins will be able to easily change the colour of both teams via a click of a button.

From personal experience, I much prefer this layout to that which is currently used, and the game runs very nicely. I'm aware that this map has taken to the interest of many other forums' staff that play RF, and has been discussed to replace the current format. Whether or not it is used at a competitive degree, it'd be fun for a few friendlies and so forth.

Despite still in development stage after it's revamp, the RFL community will have the chance to be one of the first communities to test the new system. Game play will be shown shortly, please note that the game is still in development and that there are changes to be made - eg, in terms of language to suit each user.

PS: No map other than RF shall be used on such engine.

What. Surely you need to read chat at all times to see decisions made by the ref? And surely the ref needs to see captains in the chat to ask for subs etc? Explain pls.

No. Well, unless it's an expansion of what you can see, and isn't simply scaled up.

I would think it would bring additional spiking and dragging, i played on 1 of similar versions like this and it was simply unplayable, I am happy with the map we have right now. No one complained, everyone is happy and that is good thumbsup

Why would you write such a lengthy post about something like that? Suspect

Somalian brought to my attention last night that a few members here have played on "similar" versions, although as I stated above the full-sized map is basically a much upgraded version of what you've most likely played.

Two-three hundred words isn't exactly lengthy, and as I said in the OP, various leagues have discussed replacing the current map with said new. I don't care either way to be honest, it's just a precaution as this could possibly be used in the Champions League.

From what I'm aware of, the chatting system is more that of a mute whoever you want. I'm pretty sure one can manually edit your settings so that you can see a specific person type, regardless of whether spectator's chatting is made invisible; thus you can see decisions made by the referee.

-----------------

Edit: HaxSports' taking to the concept.

There is no ping issue, the lag is the same like in haxball.com.

Mutes is good, could be important.

It is MUCH MUCH more enjoyable to play realsoccer in fullscreen. If you try it you dont want to go back to regular haxball's realsoccer.
It is a different experience. You can see where you pass, you can see other players, you dont have to calculate the teammates positions about the blue or red arrows pointing in a direction...

There is no point in staying with regular haxball if we can have this.
Haha very nice. Very Happy
Haxball 2.0 ! Very Happy

To be honest, I enjoy having to estimate the position of players who are off screen, it adds another layer of skill.

Seems nice but it doesn't really solve the corner problem (which I think is the worst part about the small screen used for hax) as it merely extends the viewable area sideways.
