Cup Information
- Brief Introduction.
- Match Time & Dates.
- Rules.
- Tournament ladder information.
As the title of the thread suggests, this thread shall be the location of the very first official team cup that RFL has on offer. As a result of being highly discussed, I’ve opted towards the idea of creating an RFL cup for the upcoming season. Skjold and I have been discussing with Warbuton, an administrator at RSC, of possibly creating a Champions League once further leagues have been created – I’m aware that the Italians and Polish have shown interest in incorporating with such. With four teams being able to participate from each country, perhaps we could tweak the Haxball Galaxy format (permission granted) of a top three finish in the league allowing to enter the tournament alongside the cup winners respectively. As this league and Haxball itself is purely for fun, unnecessary disputes being created are frowned upon and may result in further action being taken against the creator. Alike the league, there'll be a date alongside a time for when the game(s) must be played (the graphic below will show this) – the cup will start ASAP and finish circa March. The decision regarding when to play is purely based on when two teams are capable to play each other – it is the captain’s role, not moderators, as to decide when you want to play. The rules will remain the same as the ones already in place, please see the following link (https://haxrfl.forumotion.co.uk/t77-league-game-rules) for further information; e.g referees present, ten minutes per halves and so on - as instructed, recordings are a necessity for both verification of results and statistics. The classic cup rule of extra-time and penalties, which will commence after five minutes of ET, will apply for the latter rounds of this competition if needed when a game cannot be settled within the normal amount of time. To avoid putting the tournament ladder in much depth, we will follow the same structure that the Champions League does, meaning that there’ll be both group and knockout fixtures – two groups of four, with the two teams on the most points (3 for a win, 1 for a draw) proceeding to the rounds beyond. In these later rounds, there’ll be four sides remaining – the winner of the first group will play the runners-up of the second group and vice-versa.
Ladder
