RFL Football Manager 2014

After a lot of tries, I finally got the save working, and started it up.

A bit of background on the league and how it will pan out, over the course of the season. Each team will play each other 4 times, which makes the league a 36 game season. A cup competition will also run alongside, a straight up knock-out competition, with extra time and penalties if at the end of 90 minutes, a draw occurs. The winner takes a place in a continental competition (eg. Champions League, Europa League), at this moment in time I have no idea which competition that is.

6 friendlies have been played so far.

The Pakistani National Party were held to a 1-1 draw away at Ajax, with goals from Lerin Duarte for Ajax and a Schweinsteiger free kick for the PNP.

The New Orleans Niggers dominated their game away at Amkar Perm but like the PNP, they could only take away a draw. Alexandr Kozlov scored for the home side after 11 minutes, before Rodrigo Palacio equalised just 5 minutes later from close range. Final score: 1-1

Rekt FC took a win from their first friendly match, with a comfortable 3-1 victory away at Viktoria Plzen. RFC were behind early as Darijo Srna's mistake led to Marek Bakos finishing from close range, but it wasn't enough to stop Rekt FC from coming back. Arjen Robben scored from the penalty spot after 64 minutes, and just 8 minutes later, they took the lead with Benteke chipping the Plzen goalkeeper. Theo Walcott wrapped up the win with an accurate finish inside the penalty area on the 86th minute.

Melchester Rovers also got off to a good start in their first friendly with a 2-1 win away at Toulouse. The side went behind after 10 minutes from a Eden Ben Basat goal, but the Rovers equalised just 8 minutes later thanks to Kwadwo Asamoah. Paul Pogba finished from close range on the 63rd minute to seal the game.

Despite a hard fought battle, CD Santos Laguna couldn't take anything away from a home tie against Dream Killers. Neymar took an early lead for the away side, but Oribe Peralta pulled it back for Santos Laguna. An unlikely win was then on the cards as Nestor Calderon put the home side ahead on the stroke of half time. The lead collapsed quickly though as Luis Suarez equalised for the Killers, and Samuel Eto'o stole the winner on the 89th minute. Final score: 3-2

Calloway FC let a two-goal lead slip at the hands of CD Cruz Azul, Xherdan Shaqiri put the away side ahead on the 19th minute, before Sergio Aguero doubled just three minutes later. It was a tale of two halves though, as Cruz Azul scored two within ten minutes to complete the comeback and get the draw. Final score: 2-2.
