Season 3 Rules

• Season 3 Starts on the 20th of April

• Team sign ins deadline is 18th of April at 10pm

• The sign ins will then reopen on the 28th of April

• Teams will play each other twice (22 games)

• Games are played on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays

• 3 Games will be played at 7.00 and the other 3 at 7.45

• If a team can't play due to lack of players then it is opposition's captain decision if they replay at a later date or the team receives a 3-0 win
(Warn the opposition in advance if you won't be able to replay and they will more likely reschedule the match)

• A maximum of one loan is allowed in one game. If there are no players who are team-less a player from another team is allowed to play for them.

• The signing or loaning of a player has to post a thread in the cut/sign topic before the match starts by the captain.

• It is the captains responsibility to find a host and a ref for their game. Both captains need to agree that the host has a playable connection.
•Pausing during play by the captains is not acceptable if they are gaining an advantage by doing so.

• Referees can give yellow cards and red cards during play. If a player receives 3 yellow cards during the season (league and cup accumulate) then they face a 1 match ban. If a red card is given the suspension gap will be reviewed by the admins.

• Substitutions may only be made at Goal Kicks and Corner Kicks. The captain of the team must call sub in the chat for a sub to occur. If a player unexpectedly leaves the team must wait until it has gone for a Goal Kick or Corner Kick before replacing them. There is no limit on the amount of subs to be made during the match

• Each team has a limit of 6 signs during the season. If a player retires or is significantly inactive then a replacement sign is free. If a club disbands the sign in limit is reset.

• Each team needs to have a player recording the game, to reduce the risk of loosing a game. There needs to be a recording for the match to be official.

• Defwins are only allowed if a team doesn't turn up for their scheduled match and no wildcard has been made by the other team. It is the captain's choice weather to award themselves with the defwin or reschedule the game.

Dont think this is enough because when we had teams last season we had more games then that...

Discussing it with Mlf, Skjold and Devin, we decided playing 22 games was far too many and would mean the season would finish mid June. We want to finish before then as we predicted players would be temp leaving due to revision.

This decision was made in the meeting which you were meant to be in!

What Shaps said, we discussed doing an SPL-type thing where teams would play 16 games, 11 against the rest of the league and then 5 more against teams in their half but we decided against this. Next Season there will certainly be more games, don't worry about that. We of course realise this is not ideal but this added on to cup games does make the season last around 7 weeks at my count which is just about enough to make it worthwhile in my opinion.

Wouldn't having a mid-season break be better?

Playing each team only once in a season really isn't enough to provide an accurate enough reflection of the teams' strengths.
Added on to the fact that teams will very likely chop and change often during the season, it will mean that teams won't have even run-ins. If a player makes one or two star signings mid-way through the season (see DreamCatchers for reference), it will mean that some teams won't ever have to face playing against them while other teams will, which in such a short season as this could unfraily tip the balance between two teams, maybe deciding the title.

22 games would mean the season is the same length as in the YeS-Bundesliga, so it's not as if the leanght on its own isn't viable.

I really think we should reconsider this.

Thing is a break would have to be quite long due to exams, say a month or so and by that time it would just make more sense to just make another Season instead of making this one have such a big gap in the middle.

I agree, 22 games will give a more accurate prediction and a mid season break is a great idea however after a mid season break in the summer it is likely some may go inactive and there is only 6 signs per seasons, imo to solve the inactivity after a mid season break is to scrap the signs or increase the signs.

Also another thing i disagree with is the cut/sign limit, this league is in my opinion much less serious and competitive than other leagues and is like 5 times more extra fun. The sign limit all it do is just increase the competitiveness and reduces fun, I know your thinking do I even know what I am saying and how will a limit on signs will reduce fun? Well simply because don't take this as a offence but about 30% of these captains in rfl all they know is cut and sign a player everyday, if you force them to keep within a sign a limit what is going to happen is some captains (who I will not name) will disband their teams because the only way they understand how to cap is to cut a player and sign another like everyday.

I would like to play 22 games, but I'm kind of biased as that means I can play this season
