goal of the week, team of the week.

I think that there should be goal of the week, an admin makes a video with some of the best goals from the week, and then we all vote for the best goal. This would cause excitement between games etc.

There should also be team of the week, so by looking at the matches etc, 4 players should be picked to make up the team. GK, DM, AM and ST, and whoever has the most votes for each position at the end of the season should be in the team of the season.

What do you guys think?

Both suggestions would be ideal to add to the league, Somalian. Focusing mainly on the latter of the two, TOTW, this could be used as a way of selecting an eventual overall team of the season; selecting the people for every position respectively based on the amount of times they've been nominated for the weekly award. If one member of the community would be interested in making the videos for the former, I'm sure we'll have a few interested, please post below and we'll take the idea from there. Thank you.

I think that the voting thing is just gonna cause more arguments as to who should get what. Admins should decide seperately on all this to keep it fair and to avoid fights and rages XD

I'll see what I can do about this, some interesting concepts here.

If there's 12 teams then there's 6 games each week and each match lasts 20 minutes, so the question is who's going to spend two hours analysing everyone's performance to pick a team of the week?

In the ref's report the ref should highlight a goal if they think it is a contender for goal of the week. Each game the ref should nominate player of the game? It almost works

I have already decided to do this monthly etc as I doubt I'll have enough time to do it weekly... If you don't want it monthly then do it yourself.. Will also do captain of the month

Would be a good concept to put into Hax RFL to boost it that micro spec. But I think for now it wouldn't be ideal as it's nearing end of season. Defo it should be added in S3 as something motivational for some players if you would like to be a part of a G0TW or T0TW Video. Would be a great idea to put forward to the admins.

To make team of the week easier to pick. The referee could give player ratings and man of the match in the report so they give an idea of who played well. This can help pick who is in team of the week. (One from each team)

I could easily make a gif of the top 5 goals and people reply to the thread what number should win

for gotw ask referee's for the replay time aswell, it's gonna be quite time consuming to find all the goals if its just the game time

I think gifs are better than making a youtube video as they are much easier to watch again.

Also ignore that I got these from FM. I'm only using theirs as we don't have many RFL goal gifs yet!

I think you don't understand mate.
The utility of making videos is to attract players in the league. And, compared to different leagues, there's not many players here.
So this video could be anything but not useless.

make a vid and put it on youtube, on the offchance someone sees it and joins the league, gifs arent goin anywhere

Yeah, i'd rather have a video of the goals with some music on. more engaging for everyone tbh.

Ye, but the problem is the work of doing that vids.

I prefer gifs than nothing, if you know what I mean.

And btw, if you want to attract new players to the league, just open more RF rooms.
