Kicking off on the 20th April 2013, Season Three is already set to be the biggest RFL Season yet, with no fewer than four teams and six captains added. After Fatality's league-winning campaign last season they are hot favourites to defend their title, but Total Hax are also likely to fancy their chances, along with new additions Pelicans and Tekkerslovakia and Champions League competitors TBA and DreamCatchers...

Fatality won the title and reached the final of the cup last season, which is no surprise given that their squad contained highly rated keeper somalian 2, defensive midfield PTJohe and striker DEVINURDOG. Captained by DEVINURDOG, they will no doubt feel that they can win the league again this season, and many will agree with them.

The Captain's View

1. Where do you expect to finish this season?

I expect my team to finish in the top 3 this season, if not go for the 2nd title and add to our glory. Our players have still got it in them and our new signings are improving with us vastly. It's going to be an interesting season.

2. Did you manage to sign the players you wanted to?

I took my teams suggestions into consideration while also having my own signing, and it's worked out well. Couldn't of asked for any more with the team we've currently got.

3. Which area of your team do you feel is the strongest?

Definitely our defence. If you've ever tried to score a goal against somalian 2 in RFL, you'd know how hard it is. And that's without the likes of PTJohe making the defense stronger. I mean, look at the clean sheets record and you'll see who has the most.

4. Who do you think will win the league?

If it's not us that'll win the league, I'd have to say Total Hax are well within their rights to win it again. I've played most of the new teams with my team and it's been mostly bussing from them. I can't expect them to shake the top 2 teams anytime soon.

5. Are you planning on anymore signings before the start of the season?

Nope, I'm completely happy with my team now and this is the team that'll stay throughout the season, given that all my players want to stay. I'm sure they will.

6. What are your aims this season?

Same as always, win the league, win the cup and be back for dinner time.


Total Hax

Total Hax are once again captained by mlfaijaiti, who led them to a 2nd place finish in season 2. They are expected to challenge for the title and star players mlf, joehan and gazza will help them achieve that.

1. Where do you expect to finish this season?

I expect to finish 1st, or if something terribly goes wrong (Ren.gif) then 2nd, not being vain ofc.

2. Did you manage to sign the players you wanted to?

Mostly yeah, but hmmm (Paddy) got stolen by Bantaholics or Tekkerslovakia or however they're spelt - I'm coming for you @ whoever captains that team (italia?)

3. Which area of your team do you feel is the strongest?

I think we're strongest in attack: Joehan, Breeezy, Gazza, opc and dooms - we're spoilt for choice. Not to say we're bad in defence though, I'd say I'm stronger in defence as a DM and despite how Ren is shit we have a* chem snm.

4. Who do you think will win the league?

5. Are you planning on anymore signings before the start of the season?

Probably not, unless someone wants to jump ship and get themselves a league winners medal (Samuel.)

6. What are your aims this season?

My aim is to have some fun with the league, at times last Season I saw it was a chore hence why I was considering disbaning. And of course to win, that's also fun.

Witsel will once again captain DreamCatchers this season, after leading them to a 3rd place finish last season. They are stronger than ever this coming season having kept hold of Goalkeeper Steeve and midfielder DraTo, as well as signing the talented Rafael Da Silva and OvoXo. They recently beat Fc Blizzard 2-0 in the Champions League, and are expected to once again qualify for the competition.

The Bear Association

The Bear Association managed to finish a very impressive fourth last season, and captain Jiminy_Cricket will be hoping they can achieve a similar finish this season. Many neutrals also feel that they will challenge for the Champions League places. Their star players include Jds, Kosc, May and Jiminy.

The Muffin Stuffers

They have a relatively strong squad containing the likes of RFL giant and contender for best player in the history of haxball Bant, the attacking midfielder Calloway and Goalkeeper LetsRock. They are expected to secure a comfortable mid table finish this season.

I Expect to finish at a 5th-3rd place seeing as this league is getting more advanced.

I didn't manage to sign the players i wanted to like Karl who was signed by AM-99 , I didnt sign Wildey, No noob either.*However, I did manage to make the signing of the century by adding Bant to our squad.

3. Which area of your team do you feel is the strongest?

I feel that our defence is the strongest like always.

4. Who do you think will win the league?

I think that FFC will win the league , like Mlfaijati would say, a* Chem.

5. Are you planning on anymore signings before the start of the season?

Yes I do plan to sign someone as a ST seeing as i have no pure striker in my team.

6. What are your aims this season?

I am aiming not to end up in Division 2, if I stay in Division 1 I'll try and win the title then, no hurries yet.


TekkerSlovakia

Logo not made yet.

TekkerSlovakia is a remake of the old Bantaholics team, created after Italia was given captaincy. They have managed to sign some quality players like Santi, k999, and Italia's influence on the pitch will also help them in their attempts to finish in the top half. Many expect them to achieve this ambition, and possibly gain a Champions League spot.

The Captain's View

1. Where do you expect to finish this season?

I reckon around 5th place, just being realistic about the league. There are definitely teams that are above our level in terms of skills and teamwork

2. Did you manage to sign the players you wanted to?

Not exacttly, one signing only lasted a few days which is a shame but that is their decision. In terms of new players, I have a few names but I know that there could be so much potential out there which is the main goal right now

3. Which area of your team do you feel is the strongest?

I would definitely reckon the defence. We handle well under pressure from all teams we encounter and our F/A ratio will definitely be a different story this season.


4. Who do you think will win the league?


Tricky question because I even believe the new teams will be a strong contender. I will give it to FFC again because they already beat us with their new players alone and still have their main scorers in from last season.

5. Are you planning to sign anymore players before the start of the season?

I do actually but my strategy involves letting the season starts and wait and see who quits after the 1st/2nd games over reasons. Usually it is about getting no game time and that's against our team's ethos.

6. What are your aims this season?

My aim is get the results that my team-mates deserve after last season and to be a main threat for the championship in this league. Also promote the league more professionally without immature behaviour.

Green Street Elite

Captained by Kevin-Nolan after Class on Grass disbanded, Green Street Elite were at an immediate disadvantage as Kevin's late takeover meant that options were limited in terms of players to sign, and as a result Green Street Elite are expected to finish in the bottom half of the table. However, Kevin has managed to add some highly rated players like PIF, LiNeRuSh. and Klopp to his team, and they will be determined to do themselves proud this season.

Swag FC are a new addition to RFL and are managed by the experienced captain Shaps. The players they have signed are pre-dominantly french, and most are extremely talented, like Very (who I would say is very good), Gotze and Yio. They are widely viewed as being contenders for a top half finish.

The Captain's View

1. Where do you expect to finish this season?

5th. I think that is being realistic, of course we will try our hardest but I don't think we are stronger than a few other teams out there. Playing more friendlys will help us get a better idea though.

2. Did you manage to sign the players you wanted to?

Yes, I'm happy with heavily based French team (Newcastle 0mg l0l). I have played with them all previously and are very talented players indiviually. Would of been nice to find another striker but we will wait.

3. Which area of your team do you feel is the strongest?


The chemistry between our players is what is best about Swag FC. Each player knows how the others work and it really shows in matches we have played. I'm also expecting to achieve many clean sheets with Yio between the sticks.

4. Who do you think will win the league?

FFC. They have the momentum and confidence from season 2 to do it again. Their squad has also unfortunately improved greatly also.

5. Are you planning on anymore signings before the end of the season?

Nope, unless a player leaves or becomes inactive who would need replacing. We will be on the hunt for a 2nd striker though but isn't a main concern.

6. What are your aims this season?

Reach the cup semis would be nice, and finish in the top half of the league. But we are mainly here to show our swag obviously


CadArmy

CadArmy are yet another new team in Season Three, and are managed by long term player Cadburys. They are expected to finish in the lower half of the table, but players like Razouar, arteta and freznez will look to disprove that prediction.

I expect to finish in the top 6 this season.

If I am able to play my strongest team, it would be in midfield as they have good passing and chemistry.

Total Hax, when they are in proper matches they play serious.

4. Are you planning on any more signings before the end of the season?

I plan on making more signings and perhaps some cuts aswell depending on the teams skill and attitude.

5. What are your aims this season?

My aim is to get out of the group stages in the RFL super cup, avoid relegation and achieve a champions league spot as an added bonus.


Eagles United

He has bought back Kaaaaarl and lr16 as well as signing Ghost, and has stated that he is also after the signature of Jai. They are expected to finish towards the bottom half of the table.

Lead by the people’s captain of the season, Jiminy Cricket, the Bear Association managed to excel season predictions despite being phased by a difficult patch of form mid-way through the campaign finishing fourth in the league, effectively securing a Champions League spot, whilst impressively reaching the semi-finals of the RFL Super Cup, where they were unfortunate to be knocked-out via penalties against Fatality FC.

Alongside recently securing the signings of Roni and May, an excellent French attacking duo, which were very much at the heart of the club’s revival, the bears have brought in further talent from the French RF community in Progba – a vastly experienced striker, playing for Toque Stars who notably won their respective division. These three are definitely players to look out for in the third season, whether they rise to the occasion or not will determine how successful TBA shall be. Having yet to play a single friendly it’ll be interesting to note their performances against opposition to come.

I had some time to speak to the team’s captain so we ran through some of the basics prior to next season, such as: aims and expectations, squad discussion and so on:

"Samuel": Firstly, where do you expect to finish in the upcoming season?

"Jiminy Cricket": I can seriously see us finishing 1st this season given the high standard of players we have in our squad, but anything in top 3 would be satisfactory.

“Samuel ": Interesting. Obviously you reached the semi-finals of the RFL cup last season. Are you expecting to progress well throughout that tournament?

"Jiminy Cricket": We should really have made it to the final last season but we f***ed over on penalties, I definitely thought we were the better team. And although new, stronger teams have been brought in this season I can see us going to the final this team and possibly even winning the cup if everyone plays to their best.

"Samuel": And with the new cup system coming into play, with the Champions League teams already being qualified for the knock-out stages, you can comfortably focus on the league for a while. Secondly, will you be looking to add any more players to your squad?

"Jiminy Cricket": Aye, although we still do have Champions League games to play. Yes, I'm definitely looking into bringing a few more players in to help us push for the season 3 title, especially a GK and a DM. However, we do have 1 huge name that could well be a ʕ•͡ᴥ•ʔ soon but it is unlikely at this moment in time.

"Samuel": If I'm not mistaken you've already picked up four points from two games in the group-stage, promising indeed. Speaking in regards to your squad, as you're planning to bring in two defensive-minded players, would you regard the strongest area of your team as the attack?

"Jiminy Cricket": Aye, 4 points indeed Samuel Galindo. It would be harsh on the others to say our attack is the strongest part of our squad, but we do have more depth in attack with PROGBA, May and roni there who are all excellent players. Our defence, with iks and Kosc is also strong, but I feel I need a couple of more players in that area just to increase the depth and of course fill in for Kosc when he has ping problems (which is nearly every matchday).

"Samuel": I don't play on loan to Jorge Wilsterman, my friend. I spoke on the trio (Roni, May & Progba) in the former half of the TBA preview. Would you too agree that whether or not they rise to their expectations will determine how successful ʕ•͡ᴥ•ʔ will be next season? Not wanting to much too much pressure on them! And finally, do you have any last words you'd like to add before we draw the interview to a close?

1. Because not all teams have played friendlies so I couldn't write results from games that didn't exist, and some captains weren't online so I couldn't get interviews with every captain.

2. My researchers and I decided the odds ourselves, unless RFL is more famous than we thought no bookies will actually let you make a bet on those odds so I didn't actually think they were important.

3. I did, with advice from my researchers.

4. You'll have to blame however wrote the Total Hax report for that.

5. I did ask people for Ren's position and no one seemed to know and I didn't quite have enough time to watch replays of every match he's played in and work out where he plays.

1. Expected finishes are opinions, not facts, if you feel I've been harsh on you then I'm sorry but I can't predict everyone to finish 1st.
